Course Overview:

Outlaw motorcycle gangs are often misunderstood as loose associations of bikers, but many operate as sophisticated criminal enterprises with defined hierarchy, discipline, revenue streams, support networks, and long-term strategic interests. 

This course goes beyond patches, colors, and surface-level identifiers to examine how these organizations actually function as criminal businesses.

You’ll learn from someone who infiltrated this world firsthand and understands how these organizations operate from the inside: how leadership is structured, how decisions are made, how revenue is generated, how support clubs and associates are used, and how domestic and international networks expand influence.

The course also focuses heavily on human intelligence: how information is developed inside criminal organizations, how infiltration operations are approached, how operational security is maintained, and how investigators can identify vulnerabilities that support long-term disruption efforts.

Instructor:

Matthew Hedger is a subject matter expert in anti-money laundering, insider threat mitigation, and organized crime, with specialized expertise in the money laundering techniques of Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations. A former U.S. intelligence officer with 17 years of service at the CIA and NSA, Matthew led sensitive operations across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

He operated for over 10 years undercover inside transnational organized crime networks, including infiltrating a 1%er outlaw motorcycle club and becoming a fully patched member, and cumulatively moved over $100 million throughout his career while posing as a money launderer across multiple transnational organized criminal groups, including a Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization, directly enabling the dismantling of narcotics, weapons, and money laundering operations.
