Position: Videographer/Editor (Full-Time)
Location: Charleston, SC or Cape Coral, FL
Compensation: $60,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
Reports To: Creative Director

 

Overview:

We’re hiring a versatile Videographer/Editor who creates content designed to perform. This role is for someone who isn’t just technically skilled with a camera or editing software, but someone who understands how content actually converts, grows audiences, and builds trust.

You’ll work closely with the Creative Director, CEO, and other key on-camera talent to capture and deliver high-output content across a portfolio of tactical and performance brands:

•Effective Fitness Training (EFT)
•Effective Fitness Combatives (EFC)
•PolicePosts (PP)
•StayReady Supplements (SRS)

This is a full-time, in-person role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Capture and Production

•Film content across a variety of formats: instructional, product, lifestyle, podcast, and live training
•Plan and execute shoots with minimal retakes and efficient use of time
•Capture clean visuals, sharp audio, and compelling moments in both studio and field
•Work closely with executives and instructors to ensure messaging is clear and on-brand

2. Editing and Post-Production Execution

•Deliver fast, consistent editing across long-form and short-form content
•We are agnostic to the editing software you use. As long as you deliver on speed and quality
•Maintain fidelity to brand identity across edits, while also iterating based on performance data
•Add appropriate motion graphics, captions, and light sound design as needed

Note: We understand balancing speed, volume, and quality is difficult. But that’s the standard. You’ll be resourced and supported appropriately to hit that bar with equipment and software.

3. Platform-Specific Optimization

•Export in proper aspect ratios and specs for YouTube, Reels, Meta, etc.
•Understand what drives watch time, retention, and engagement across platforms
•Reverse-engineer what performs to shape how we shoot, edit, and deliver moving forward
•Contribute to thumbnailing, titling, and metadata inputs if needed

4. Team & Directional Collaboration

•Work directly with the Creative Director and receive weekly direction on content priorities
•Communicate clearly with executives and team leads during shoots
•Participate in brainstorms, flag performance trends, and contribute to ideation
•Help build and improve scalable content systems and templates

5. Brand Alignment & Cultural Fit

•Understand and reflect the tone and values of each brand under the umbrella
•Respect and engage authentically with tactical, fitness, LEO, and BJJ-adjacent communities
•Represent the company well in the field, especially during live shoots and events

 

Required Qualifications:

•5 or more years of experience filming and editing for digital platforms
•Proficiency in any professional NLE (Final Cut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
•Ability to shoot high-quality content with Sony, Canon, or equivalent mirrorless/DSLR cameras
•Comfort working independently across all stages of content delivery
•Experience editing for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok
•Strong sense of visual storytelling and digital pacing
•Portfolio or reel required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•Law Enforcement, Military, or BJJ background
•Experience with podcast capture and multi-format editing
•Drone operation or field shooting in high-tempo environments
•Background working with instructors, coaches, or influencers
•Familiarity with tactical or performance supplement industries

 

Success Metrics (KPIs):

•Content Output: Consistent weekly deliverables across video, short-form, and static
•Engagement Growth: Month-over-month increases in shares, saves, comments, and watch time
•Audience Growth: Organic growth across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook
•Lead Generation: Measurable conversion lift from organic content
•Turnaround Time: Tight concept-to-post timelines with minimal lag
•Team Delivery: On-time performance from all videographer/editor teams
•Optimization Impact: Platform-level improvement via A/B testing, thumbnailing, captioning

 

Work Environment:

•Full-time, in-person role based in Charleston, SC or Cape Coral, FL
•Regular travel between locations and for offsite events or trainings
